Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Synclaps Chrome extension and website ("Synclaps", "the service"). Synclaps is operated by Artem Galyeyev, a sole proprietor based in Maia, Portugal ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or buying a subscription you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Synclaps is a browser extension that connects to mailboxes you authorize, shows your recent emails next to supported AI chat websites (currently ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Mistral) and inserts the email you choose into the chat input. How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account and license key

• After you subscribe you receive a personal license key. You may use it on any number of your own devices.
• The license is for you only. Don't share, resell or publish your key. We may deactivate keys that are clearly being shared or abused.
• You're responsible for the mailboxes you connect and must be authorized to access them.

3. Subscriptions, trials and payment

• Synclaps has a free plan (one mailbox) and a paid Pro plan (up to 5 mailboxes, on up to 3 of your own devices). A Pro license key is for one person and may not be shared or resold.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
• Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• New Pro subscribers get a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your first payment is taken when it ends.
• You can cancel anytime. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, then return to the free plan, and you won't be charged again.
• We may change prices for future billing periods. We'll tell existing subscribers by email at least 30 days before a change takes effect.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Synclaps to break the law, to access mailboxes you're not authorized to access, or to break the terms of your mail provider or AI service. Don't try to reverse engineer, overload or bypass the license checks of the service.

5. Third-party services

Synclaps works with services run by other companies, including Google (Gmail), Microsoft (Outlook), OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Anthropic (Claude). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. Synclaps is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies. Those services can change without notice in ways that temporarily or permanently break a feature of Synclaps; we'll make reasonable efforts to restore it.

6. AI output

Synclaps only moves text into your AI chat. We're not responsible for what an AI service generates in response. Always review AI output before relying on it or sending it to anyone.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Synclaps available and working, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to Synclaps is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Termination

You can stop using Synclaps and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in its courts.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, email subscribers before they take effect.
